Michelle's Photo Album!

Scenes from my years in the NHS Marching Band.

While I was in high school the Marching band was a major part of my life (at times it seemed it was my only life). I played Oboe for the first three years, and then I switched over to the Baritone Horn my senior year. The shows that I performed in were Tame the Perilous Skies, A Mystical Fantasy, Rituals, and Atlantis. It was four years of hard work and lots of fun. My senior year we took second place in the New York State Field Band Competition; one of the best feelings I've ever had in the world. We also broke a record with the score of 99.4% at the EMBA Championships. We then proceeded to go to the Gator Bowl, where we took a full sweep and were able to perform the pre-game show. Here are a few pictures from my adventures in band. I will update it this summer when I have the rest of my pictures.

My freshman year of highschool, my older sister Jen was a senior. She was also my section leader!

My sophomore year we flew to Arizona to compete in the Fiesta Bowl competition. We got to perform in Sun Devil's Stadium. While we were there we couldn't miss a day at the Grand Canyon. This is me, Kristin, Lauren, and Lauren.

These are the bandkateers! "Who's the leader of the band who makes us march a lot? MrJ-eff-Smith. Hey there-Ho there-Hi there, you're all welcome. The Nor-wal-kband!"

We made it to Florida! Alison, me, Sybil, Kristin.

This is a practice before the competition in Florida my senior year. Look at the first person marching backwards on the 50 yard line...that's me!

Welcome to the Gator Bowl!

And here we are at the Gator Bowl pre-game show. I'm in the picture, really.
